Membrane-Test-Units

For the investigation of the scaling behaviour of water hardness and silica in RO-plants we developed a new membrane-based test method and designed the corresponding test units. There are 2 fully automatic operating units available, which are designed for long-term test runs.

The test runs are carried out almost automatically including sampling of the permeate and concentrate. The maximum operation pressure is 60 bar. A cooling system keeps the test-unit under isothermal conditions.

These test-units are also used for membrane screening tests with flat sheet reverse osmosis-, nano-, ultra and micro-filtration membranes. The desired permeate flow, the feed flow rate and the temperature are independently adjustable.
